Curriculum
The school has three separate strands: academic, personal development, and experiential. All three are structured to aid the development of a confident and resilient student.
Academic
The academic curriculum is not the primary focus of the school. It is used not only as an end in itself but as a tool to promote confidence and risk taking. Upon entry the student is tested then placed on an individual program which is non-graded, but is skill and concept based.
Personal Development
The students, families, and staff work together to identify the stressors and negative behaviors affecting the student. This approach to the student's personal growth is on-going and utilizes on-site and community resources.
Experiential
The students engage in many activities within the structure of the community. These activities generate a positive life experience and build resiliency within the student.
